Bedrock farms can depend on the direction a block faces. Before building a design, check the cardinal directions in-game and compare them with the tutorial. This matters especially for observers, pistons, portal layouts, and trident-killer chambers.

How a trapdoor trident killer works

A trapdoor-based trident killer uses the chamber geometry and moving blocks to keep thrown tridents in a controlled path while mobs are held in the kill space. The correct orientation and timing are important: copying the footprint while rotating key components can cause tridents to miss or mobs to escape.

Raid farm ravager checks

  • The lava should be one block below the intended ravager position.
  • The ravager should be pushed up into the water so it takes lava damage.
  • Remove extra gates and compare the build with the tutorial if the ravager is not entering the water correctly.
