Prerequisites

  • A Fabric, Quilt, or other compatible modded client for your Minecraft version
  • Litematica and MaLiLib downloaded for the same version

Installing Fabric (if needed)

  1. Download the Fabric Installer from the official Fabric website.
  2. Run the installer and select the correct Minecraft version for your mods.
  3. If you are unable to run the installer, install Java from java.com.
  4. Launch the Fabric profile once to generate the necessary files and folders.

Installing Litematica

  1. Open your Minecraft instance directory (see locations below).
  2. Place Litematica and MaLiLib into the `mods/` folder.
  3. Launch your modded instance once more to ensure the mods load correctly.

Adding a schematic file

  1. Download your `.litematic`, `.schematic`, or `.nbt` file.
  2. Place it into the `schematics/` folder inside your Minecraft instance directory. Do not create this folder manually - launching the game with Litematica installed will generate it automatically.
  3. Launch Minecraft, load into a world, and press M to open the Litematica menu.
  4. Go to Load Schematics to view and load your newly added file.

Instance directory locations

  • Windows: `%APPDATA%\.minecraft\` (or your custom launcher instance folder)
  • macOS: `~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/`
  • Linux: `~/.minecraft/` (for Flatpak installs, use `~/.var/app/com.mojang.Minecraft/.minecraft/`)
